Adorned in Imagination is a video series focused on the transformative power of style and story.

This is a place where we uncover and explore how the ways we dress, create, and connect across cultures become acts of self-expression, liberation, and transformation as we imagine ourselves into existence every day.

The evolving series leverages two different formats: one-on-one conversations with leaders including Koya Nyangi of Let Me Show You Different + African Creators Festival and FloraJane DiRienzo of Biennial of the Americas, and videos spotlighting the work of independent designs from Africa, Europe and the Western Hemisphere whose pieces are part of my collection and journey. S. Korea and Japan will be added later this year following travels abroad this summer.

As you engage with the Adorned in Imagination series, I’d love to hear from you! How adornment has played a role in your life, the ways you are imagining yourself into existence, and, what designers are part of that journey that I should know about!

“There’s something extraordinary about waking up and adorning yourself in pieces from Kenya, Dublin, Puerto Vallarta, Barcelona, and New York. Each one represents a spark of imagination shaped by different cultures and lineages. When you bring them together, something shifts—your worldview stretches, your sense of self deepens, your aperture widens. We are not fixed; we are becoming. And for me, the ritual of adornment has been a powerful act of becoming—a way to explore, affirm, and celebrate my queerness and my humanity. It’s how I imagine myself into existence every day.” — Josh Miller
